Not all summer camps in the Adirondacks teach campers communication skills and social skills that they can take into any profession. Gorman John Ruggiero, Executive Director and Founder of World Theatre of Children has been training actors for over 30 years and has won acclaim for his work, especially with children.
At our Adirondack performing arts camp, campers will have the opportunity to train in intensive Improvisational Technique utilizing
Theatre Games and Exercises drawn from the work of Jerzy Grotowski, Constantin Stanislavski, Richard Boleslavsky, Viola Spolin, Kay Carney, Joseph Anthony and Mr. Ruggiero. The works of the Constructivist Theatre of Meyerhold and Commedia D’el Arte of the Italian Theatre as well as the Formal Techniques used to express the Classic works of Shakespeare, The Greeks, and others are utilized to give actors a
well-rounded experience in professional training.
